Christmas Season

I posted pictures of some of our doings so far. Last Friday night we went to the Annual Whitefish Christmas Stroll. All the businesses decorate the store fronts for the holidays and they have a competition for best display; vendors sell goods on the sidewalks; the stores run sales and all kinds of fun wintery fun is abound. There are roasted chesnuts, hot cocoa and cookies. I had my first roasted chestnut and it was very good. There were sleigh rides thru town too. The boys got to pet a team of sled dogs. They said the dogs were very soft and fluffy. Afterwards we went out to eat. It was a fun time.
You will also see a couple of pictures of the view from our house. There are mountains all around us and you can see the ski resort from our house. The street we are on has a couple of townhouses and single family homes. The housing developments here look like something out of the Dr. Seuss "Cat in the hat" movie. If the homes were vivid colors it would look just like it. One thing that is different about the town is the street lights. They have installed new ones that look like old gas-light posts. They are really charming. I guess only a community planner would notice something silly like that.
Overall, the move has been good. Most of all, I love this town! I am so glad we came here and I can't wait to experience the winter carnival in February. It is another downtown event with a chili feed. Alan's work said they will sponsor his entry so hopefully he can win his first year.

1st posting

So this is the page I set up for my Montana adventures. I will use this to chronicle my daily happenings and hopefully I won't bore anyone since it's just regular stuff.
